• I pointed to the word “reserved” on the asphalt in the parking lot and Wilson began to sing abcs. He points to words on everything (cereal box, books, etc) and sings abcs
• We went to storytime today and he signed all of the signs to the songs. Has also begun to sing “hello, hello, hello and how are you..i’m fine, I’m fine, and I hope that you are too.” Showed off his “shoes” to Barbara (storytime librarian) Also sings chorus “ei-i-e-i-o” to old macdonald.
• Danced to drums (spins constantly) and pretended to drum when listening to salsa band at Willow Park
• Says no and yes (“more”) to songs he likes/dislikes
• New words for the past 3 days: hole, ya-ya (water), ig-ga-ga (iguana), nooo (nose), crocs (new shoes), yuck (rock/walk)
• Everytime we see a horse or tractor or cow, he says “papa” and associates it with Papa Young’s ranch
• Has begun to interact on the telephone and talk, saying yeah and lolaloo (I love you)
• Everytime he picks up a toy phone and we ask who he is calling, he says Lola
• When he played at Lola’s a few weeks ago, he picked out a sparkly dress and handed it to Lola, saying "Lola", signifying that he associates her with dress-up
• Cries when Lola is gone, starts signing his name and hers rapidly when we say we will go see her. At least 3 times a day, he points upstairs and cries “Lola” when he wants to watch the videos of her at the beach on her blog.
• Says “go daddy go” and picks up the baseball mitt, then proceeds to say "Lola" and "shusan" (Susan), since they always show up to watch John and Derrick play softball for Legal Aid
• Everything little is baby (including rocks and construction vehicles) and everything big is mommy/daddy
• Was saying that he had a baby in his belly, but as of this week, he asks, baby, pointing to my belly and I say, jokingly, no, then he asks, daddy, I say no, and grinning, when I ask Wilson, he says no and just laughs.
• Likes to do yoga (feet up the wall) side by side with his mommy
• Mention “Henry’s Ark” and he will make all of the animal noises, including ssshhhh since the porcupines were asleep when he last visited with his Grammy
• He rides everything (microwave food dishes, stuffed animals, boxes, etc), and everything is a boat, except for his horse and zebra, which are called "papa" and "dee-daa," respectively.
• Picks up hair, any hair, anywhere and says “yuck”
• Goes to open fridge and picks out what he wants to eat (usually cottage cheese—yah!)
• Has begun to REALLY eat, much to his parents’ relief and even ventured out to eat yummy pork adobo, rice and beans at Sari-Sari, the local Filipino restaurant
