First Art Opening

Wil accompanied Mom and Dad to the opening of Penny Sisto's exhibit of quilts depicting slavery. In between the powerful images of suffering and survival, Wil was transfixed by the bright colors and all the faces.



He was struck by one face in particular. That of Annie, Penny's granddaughter.

Broka vs. Wilson

Wednesday Night's Main Event featured Andrew Broka, also known as K.C. Blood, versus Wilson Curtis Young, also known as Pumpkin, Munchkin, and other similar nicknames. The match started off with an intense stare-down.



Unfortunately, the match was called after Wilson performed the illegal "Toothless Bite" maneuver on Andrew's arm. A rematch is expected in the future.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Wil wants to wish everyone a belated Happy St. Patrick's day. The family gathered together on Thursday, March 16 to celebrate the occasion and here are some photos from the party.

Two Grandpas in one day

Wil had an exciting day as he enjoyed visits from both of his grandfathers (Grammy stopped by too, but does not have a photo recording her appearance).

Wil has received so many wonderful gifts. Here are two of the more unique ones--a hand printed onesie from Tia Ivanna in Boston and a doll, Trey, from Geoff. What a hip kid.

Bird Attack!

The Bird Attack Crew (Amanda, Jason, and Henry) came to Louisville this past weekend to visit. Wil and Henry were excited to be reacquainted.



Jason, a librarian, attempted to silence Wil with one of his patented, stern librarian moves. He told us he had to perfect this to obtain his degree in library science. Wil just laughed at Jason.



Amanda did too.



Everyone had a good time, but by the end of the visit Henry was tired of feeling like the target of a tenacious paparazzo, as I imagine all of these children are at this point.

Growin' Boy

Over the weekend, Wilson taught himself to grasp objects, put them in his mouth, clasp his hands together, suck his thumb, and squeal really loudly. He also seems to want to walk or just move around more as he is putting it upon himself to wiggle out of our arms at all times. On top of all that, he found some time to visit with friends Julie and Brian.



On Monday Wil made a trip to the doctors' office. He weighed in at 14.6 lbs and measured 25 inches long, or tall when you stand him upright.

Wired and Tired

Wilson slept through the night! 8:00-5:15. This made up for his day yesterday, when he kept his Daddy busy by staying up nearly all day without a nap. At one point, John told me that he would say/yell: "you're wired!" to Wilson and Wil would reply with a delighted squeal.
