Wilson does Brunch

Sunday morning started off with great bed-head (John) and a mouthful of toys (Wil). Then we were off to Julie and Jason's for crepes, Krispy Kreams and more crepes. Julie led the gang in a game of pass the baby. Or better put, a game of try to wrest the baby from Julie's arms. Wilson ate it up, until he could have no more and fell asleep with Dad.

Getting Squirrely

Today, we made a visit to our friend Penny Sisto's house to pick up a quilt she made for Gretchen's mother. Wil was happy to see Penny again.



John visited with one of the many creatures nursed back to life by Penny's healing hands.



And here is the beautiful quilt in honor of Jinny --- Mom, Grammy and Mother-in-law.

The Newest Member of St. William Church

Wil was baptized and thus officially became a member of St. William Church today. Rev. John Burke, Anne Walter and many others did a wonderful job putting together the service and we are grateful to them for that. Wil wore the baptismal gown that his mom, two uncles and grandmother wore when they were baptized. He also wore a hat crocheted by one of Mom's clients and was draped in a piece of material from his great, great uncle Msgr. Timothy Sullivan's robe. Here are Mom and Wil visiting with good friends Karina and Ali after the service.



John's brother James and sister-in-law Renee traveled down from Columbus to celebrate with us. Nephew David was happy to find that, just like home, the Hunt household is stocked with trains.

Happy Easter!

Happy easter to all! We were up before sunrise for mass, then off to Bubba's for lunch, where we were joined by newly-engaged Uncle Matt and Jenni. Wil kept the audience captivated with his military crawl. The women of the family posed for a photo op--Jenni, Aunt Di, Gretchen, Jinny and Bubba.

New neighbors!

We're thrilled to have Julie and Brian join the Clifton fun. We visited the house on Vernon and also got to see Don and his little puppy Ozark.

Oh, How Everyone Loves a Parade!

The Payne Street/ Saunders Contingent (along with Grammy and Grandpa) made their way to Frankfort Avenue to watch the annual Easter Parade. Here is a group shot of the aforementioned contingent.



Thurston and Lola prepared for the celebration by donning bunny ears.



Grammy enjoys some time with Wil in their staked-out position along the parade route.



The Boy Scouts led the parade.



The Shriners made their obligatory appearance with their wacky, multi-humped camel...



... and, of course, miniature automobiles.



The Easter Bunny stopped on the route for a photo op.



Neighbor Harper was not as enthralled with the parade as the rest of us.



Although, Wil seemed interested in the event once he finally woke up.



Susan, Derrick, Lola, Jennifer, and Arwyn lounged and collected candy that was thrown by parade participants.

What should be five posts all crammed into one

As mentioned in the previous post, we lost our camera for a little while. We have much ground to cover. Let's begin.

Two weeks ago Wil made a trip to the Iroquois library to watch Daddy give a talk about taxes. It sounds exciting and it was exciting, so much so that only one person showed up. The absentees missed out and Wil lounged on the floor.



Wil received a new toy from his Uncle Brian and Aunt Sue. Everyone agrees that the Exer-Saucer may be the greatest toy ever.



This is the place where pictures should be of the visit this weekend from Uncle Scott, a.k.a. Bugga, and Aunt Donna. Trust me we had fun. Spinach quiche, mimosas, quacking noises and an overabundance of puns were just some of the features of this visit. Good times I tell ya'.

Spring, bringing with it all sorts of funky weather, has arrived in Louisville. Mom enjoyed some time in the backyard with Wil, who sported a tilted brim.



Wil also examined Spring flowers with Mommy.

Technical Difficulties

Due to our misplacing of the camera, we have not been able to post as of late. Fortunately, we found the camera and expect to resume the documentation of Wil's life shortly.

Wilson's Favorite Perch

After months of not liking the Maya sling, Wilson suddenly found comfort there, especially when positioned so that he could view the world. He continues to be very active, wanting to stand up on our laps nearly all of the time. He has passed a toy from hand to hand and is repeating some of our sounds. Parenting feels effortless these days.
