Kentucky State Fair!

We spent the morning at the KY fair, checking out farm animals (Grandpa Young should be proud) and having photos taken with famous folks. Then John and Larry finished the day with a deep fried snickers (Jason Vance should be proud). Can't wait for next year!

Go West, Young Man!

The family traveled to Denver, Colorado this week. Gretchen attended a conference at a hotel. John and Wil lounged in said hotel. When not in the hotel, we ventured out to see the sites and the fauna.

Wil marveled at the strange breed of Colorado cow.

We trekked to the mountains...

...where we saw elk...

...sat by a lake and pondered whether the water would later become beer...

...and we smelled the crisp, rocky mountain air.

What a difference eight months makes (or musings by a proud mama)!

I was looking at the passage of time through photos of Wil the other night and thought I'd show two, one at about 2 weeks and one at 8 months, 2 weeks. It is amazing to think that he's been outside of me almost as long as he was inside of me. Without a doubt, he is the best thing I have ever done.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

First, to celebrate his father's 31st birthday, Wil wanted prunes. What is a birthday without prunes?

Wilson picked out some great gifts for his superhero dad. Dad experiments with his new persona below.

Finally, Dad switched back to his alter ego to enjoy his birthday celebration with the family.

Wilting in Bloomington

This past weekend we met up with Laura and Rob in Bloomington, IN on perhaps the hottest day ever. Wil checked out the University and wooed Laura with his antics.
