Everybody Loves Wilson!

On Thursday, Wilson met Mitchum, who lives in Pennsylvania, and is soon to be a father himself.



On Friday, Wilson charmed the ladies. Rosy, who is one of his Grammy's best friends, visited from Lake Lotawanna, Kansas.



Jenni, his Uncle Matt's girlfriend, lavished even more attention on him.



On Saturday, Wilson finally had a sit-down with his next door neighbors, Lisa and Kathy.



On Sunday, Sarah Gaudette, Gretchen's good friend from BC, hung out with Wil and the family.

Happy to be home

After a long second day back at work, I was thrilled to get to snuggle with Wil and was even joined by our often-ornery cat Hank. It is also Hank's first appearance in the blog, so that is noteworthy. We've transitioned quite well to me being back at work, especially since John will be home with Wil for the next eight weeks. It's all about trying to find this magical balance, and I take it day by day but my lovely son and kind partner make it all seem possible.

Someone found my thumb

First day at work for Mom, and first all day together for Dad and Wil. He found a way to comfort himself.

When blogs collide

Meet Amanda Moore and Henry Moses Vance, our good friends who live in Morehead, Ky. Amanda and Jason's blog was the inspiration for this blog, just as their energy, joy and enthusiasm in parenting has been an inspiration for our parenting of Wil. Gretchen and Wilson met Amanda and Henry in Lexington for an overnight.

Bradley Class Reunion!

We met up with our Bradley (natural childbirth) classmates to share stories and babies. Much fun was had by all.

Uncle Greg Home from Honduras

Wilson's Uncle Greg returned Monday from a two year stint with the Peace Corps in Campamento, Honduras. While in Honduras, Greg perfected his Spanish (he can even hold his own with tough cab drivers), planned and oversaw the development of water projects, ran a Gender Group to examine culture and gender issues in Honduras, and took millions of amazing photographs. We're so glad to have him home for a couple of weeks before he heads back East for more adventures with his girlfriend Kendra. Here's Wilson with Greg, Gretchen and Matt.


We also got nostalgic looking at pictures of Matt and Gretchen with baby Greg. Some resemblances to little Wil, no?

Pigskin and Potato Skins

Wilson had a big day over his Grammy and Grandpa's house. The family dined on potato skins as prepared by Dad.

And the boys enjoyed the big game together.

Meet Second Cousin Conor!

Timothy Conor O'Neill, born just before St. Patrick's Day last year came to visit his second cousin Wilson. Dawn and Conor drove up from Atlanta to meet the family.

Conor kept a close eye on his second cousin, wary that Wil would try to take some of his pureed green beans and mashed potatoes...

...and Wil was put off by not being the center of attention for once.

Wilson Finds His Hand

Very exciting. A few days ago, Wil found his hand. This comes in handy after having 4 shots at the doctor yesterday. He weighed in at 12 lbs. 10 oz and measured 23 1/2 inches. A grand leap of 2 lbs. 3 oz. and 1 1/2 inches from his one month visit. Way to go Wil!
