Jane bug

So you're not sleeping these days, but as soon as you wake up and look at me I dissolve into love for you! Jane's got a fiery spirit, that's for sure! She just learned how to jump, thinks she can climb up doorframes like Wilson, and loves RUNNING everywhere. She doesn't like being contained at all and would prefer to help push, and not ride in, the stroller. Words are slowly forming, but sometimes a full-blown tantrum is just much faster. We're all trying to breathe through it. No, really, this age is really fun as I see her taking in so much and delighting in the company of friends, dressing up, having adventures, reading, and being silly with Wilson. You're almost two years old, my baby girl!

Luck of the Irish

And how lucky we are to share time with our wonderful family!!! We feasted at my Mom and Dad's. Check out Jane's green dress--made by my mom and originally worn by me!

Bed head

Is there anything cuter than a little one who has just woken up from a nap? Maybe a Grandpa's adoring eyes...

Happy Valentines from my bearded loves!

Through both of their eyes

I wish I could be inside each one of my little ones for a day, just to see the world, understand more, and even take a better look at myself in order to be a patient, kinder mother. January, january. Cabin fever has hit us, though we've managed to have some great playdates and be creative. Since we're in the middle of selling our house, the kids' toys are diminished and their mom is often running around picking up (so this it what it feels like to keep a clean house:)). I've started calling the trips out when the house is being shown "rocket runs" to try to make it an adventure.

Wilson is full-on being four. Rockets, superheros, running around, climbing, potty talk, testing limits, writing words, talking about being a boy, and caring for his little sister. Jane earns her nickname "calamity Jane" with her frequent tumbles. It seems no week (or day) is complete without a busted lip, bruised cheek, head bump or the like. The girl is fearless.
