Hi Big Belly

Wilson continues to ask me to talk to him about his new baby sister. He informs us that he will share his toys and play "baby music" with the baby. But when I ask him if he wants to talk to his sister, he says, "hi big belly!"

Ah, the honesty of kids...

Happy Clementine's Day!

Semi-regularly, we have dance party at the end of the day to get out some energy and have fun. In celebration of Clementine's Day (Wil put a Clementine orange on a dollhouse table and placed his stuffed animals around it, thus "Clementine's Day") and because "Tiny Dancer" played on the radio, we donned our best Elton John apparel and sang along.

Annual Farm Machinery Show! Where were you?

The annual Farm Machinery Show came to town last weekend, and it was an opportunity we could not pass up. Apparently many others felt the same way, because finding a place to park at the Fairgrounds/ Expo Center took us 30 minutes. Grandpa Young, Uncle James, Aunt Renee, and Cousin David travelled from afar to visit and gawk at the monstrous machines. The grandkids enjoyed visiting, sitting in large wheel wells, and climbing inside tractors, combines, and other farm vehicles.

Super Bowl and Super Wednesday!

On Sunday, the family gathered to watch the Super Bowl. At first, Wil wasn't so interested, even though we brought the television downstairs, warmed up with nachos and cheese, and ate burritos. He told us he wanted to read a book. That's our boy!

He was later drawn to the event, and watched from the comfort of his box/airplane.

In the spirit of the recent political primaries, the family travelled to the doctor's office today to find out the results of our own "primary." We were curious to find out whether it would be a pink belly or a blue belly. A pink belly it is. We are having a girl!

Chocolate Faces

Wilson indulged in birthday cupcakes for Olivia at his babysitter Cary's house. Check out the chocolate faces on Wilson, Stella, Ethan, Olivia and Georgie. Then on to pin the tail on the donkey, where Wilson was brave enough to be the first to don the blindfold. Happy birthday Olivia!!!
